I knwo this is really random, but my boxer is about 1 year old and he cannot sleep thru the night. We walks through the house and jumps on my bed and everything every night.  I don't know what to do, I know we could do more exercise together to tucker hime out, or I've also considered purchasing a big dog beds o he feels like he has a palce to go each night.. ANyone else have this problem before??

I would definitely try the exercise and see if that makes a difference.  Part of it could be him trying to protect you / being a guardian.

I have a 3 year old dog that used to have similar issues.  He likes to sleep on the bed, but now I have him trained to get down and stay down at night when I am ready to sleep.

What I did when he was younger, was put him in his crate at night, in the room with me.  If you do not have a crate, it is a good tool for dog owners.  After getting him used to sleeping in his crate at night, it was not hard to get him used to sleeping on an old pile of covers or a large dog pillow.  Now my dog only wakes me up in the morning or if he really needs to go out.

Good luck

Maybe he is suffering from a disease or illness. I don't know. I think you should see a Veterinarian or a dog specialist. It was sad to hear that your dog feels that way.  Sad

It's the first time I heard about a dog not sleeping the entire evening. That's rare. I just can imagine how worried you are. However, that's cool because your dog can guard you thru the night. But I agree, it's best to consult a veterenarian so that you'll know the reasons and understand why your dog's acting that way and also to attend the needs of your dog so it'll be able to sleep and rest properly.
